I’m grateful in so many ways for finding Tom and Dan and making them a part of my team as I set out on the journey making Zeal! – food for enthusiasts a reality. They are consummate pros and at ease with all of the functions necessary to find a location, evaluate its potential, negotiate a lease and get the wheels in motion. W&W was always there to advise me on every decision I needed help with, and they are dedicated and accessible which, coming from a management consulting background myself, I am really appreciative of.
All good teams have complimentary skills which, when combined, make them stronger than the sum of their individuals, and that is W&W. Dan is the master of details and the healthy skeptic, while Tom is the big idea guy with an appetite for risk. Working with both of them you get a rich understanding of the job ahead. Met today with a local bank and the SBA. They were more than impressed with the business plan.  The meeting started out with all the reasons they should not finance a start up restaurant to how they might be able to do this.  One of the issues is that I have personal liquidity that would exceed their guidelines.  I am convinced that they want to find a way to work this out.  The devil is in the details.  I appreciate all your help. Your experience and hopefully some of mine turned two conservative bankers into believers.  They thought your concept of no royalties was terrific. The SBA guy did not like doing franchise deals.  MY impression is they do not see preparation like this and understanding of how to open a restaurant as we have done. Good job.
